Randy and his brothers were amazing people. I feel so much sadness that the boys-and their family-suffered like they did. I feel disgusted that our blood supply was infected in the US all agencies involved knew it and they argued about dollars and cents while people like the Ray boys became infected with a fatal disease and suffered until their deaths. What a preventable tragedy. Also the ignorance of people back then was astounding. Death threats against innocent dying children? Burning their house to the ground? Excluding them from school?! Unbelievable. Randy is with his brothers again.

You want to see how terrible and narrow minded the religious community is? Just be different and all of this love your neighbor and love the sinner nonsense disappears. No one knows religious people better than the LGBT community. These aren’t morally enlightened people at all. Trust me.

Such powerful testimony. It really hits home for me, especially the diagnosis portion. I'm not HIV positive, but I was molested at a young age, too young to know about sex. And when I was about 7 or 8, it was World Aids day and all of the talk shows were discussing it. Me, not having a comprehension of sex, I watched all these shows and kept hearing "You can contract HIV from having sex with a condom," and I thought back to my molestation and the fact that we didn't use a condom. I just assumed that I had the infection, and it led to a very dark period of suffering in silence because I couldn't tell anyone about the molestation. It wasn't until sex ed, after a couple of years that I realized that I may not have HIV, but to go through that alone as a child was hard because I was very depressed and had many intrusive thoughts all because of the innocence of my ignorance. I'm not HIV positive, but I always sympathize with the struggle and the stories of people finding out about their diagnosis because in a weird way, I feel like I have a bit of solidarity with them.

I never heard the Ray parents speak before, they are so eloquent and brave. So sorry about Randy's death yesterday at age 43.

Total respect for this couple. They went through so much and suffered awful situations for so long, yet they still feel the responsibility to talk about it and inform the world of what really happened in those years. I wish them they can find some comfort in knowing there are a lot of people out there who consider them heroes. ❤️

The horrific mean behavior of their original community, parents teaching their children to bully, insult, hurt another child was so disgusting. Those people should be forever ashamed. Those are the ones people should have their kids avoid. She taught Ryan strength, compassion and grace. They taught their children cruelty, ignorance and how to be human failures.
